OCCUPATIONAL FIRST AID (O.F.A.) LEVEL 1


 

Designed to provide life-saving first aid skills for workers in industry. Students must be 16 years of age and physically capable of performing first aid skills.

 

Instruction includes:

 
  • Priority Action Approach

  • Airway Obstruction (breathing distress)

  • Bleeding management (Shock)

  • CPR

  • AED

 

 

Successful completion results in a Occupational First Aid Level 1 (valid for 3 years )

 

Requirements:

  • Course length: 8 hours total which includes 7 hours of instructional time

  • Minimum of 6 and maximum of 18 students per class

  • One room 500+ sq.ft.

 

Cost per course:

  • $85.00 per person

  • No travel fee within Lower Mainland (some companies charge more than $100)

  • Flexible day or evening courses depending on your operating hours at no extra charge

Students are instructed in hard collar application (cervical immobilization) and securing of injured patients to spine boards.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 
  • Course length: 8 hours total (7 hours instructional time)

  • One room 500+ sq.ft.

  • Minimum 6 people to maximum of 18 per class


Must hold a current OFA Level 1 Certificate or higher to enroll in this course.


COST PER COURSE:

 
  • $85.00 per person to a maximum of $850.00 per class (pay for 10 students get 2 students free)

  • No travel fee within Lower Mainland (some companies charge more than $100.00)

  • Flexible day or evening courses depending on your operating hours at no extra charge
